Driver roster

Know who is scheduled before you assign the ride

An early airport pickup and a late return need different cover. Keep your drivers’ working hours, days off and regular weeks in one roster, with the same information informing your dispatch decisions.

Included in every plan

  • Standard weeks and exceptions
  • Split and overnight shifts
  • Warnings during assignment

Build the working week

Set the usual hours, then handle what changes

Your office should be able to distinguish a driver’s normal week from a one-off change. We keep both in the same roster, so a day off does not mean rebuilding the whole pattern.

  • Give each driver a pattern

Set a standard week with working hours and days off. It applies from your chosen date and fills the days without an individual entry.

  • Date each exception

Change a particular day for leave, a different shift or custom hours. That dated entry takes priority over the driver’s standard week for that day.

  • Include gaps and night work

Enter up to four time ranges for a day, including shifts crossing midnight. A morning and evening shift can leave a real gap between them.

  • Use your own shift names

Create shift presets with the names, colours and hours your office recognises. Apply a familiar shift instead of typing its start and finish each time.

Read the cover

See the shape of the day across your drivers

A count of people working today does not tell you who is scheduled at lunchtime. The weekly grid and hourly staffing strip help you inspect the hours recorded before making assignments.

  • Compare drivers in one week

Read each driver’s days across the weekly grid. The roster brings regular patterns and individual entries together, so the office can compare the actual plan.

  • Look at hourly staffing

The daily strip shows recorded staffing by hour. It highlights uncovered hours when everyone’s availability is known, while keeping drivers without a recorded schedule distinct.

  • Follow shifts past midnight

A night shift belongs to the day it starts, and its remaining hours appear on the next day. The early morning is not silently lost.

  • Work in the company’s time

The roster follows your company’s time zone. Assignment checks compare pickup times with those working hours, including when the booking uses a different pickup time zone.

Keep planning connected

Use the roster where the next decision happens

Recording a shift is useful when the person assigning a booking can act on it. We bring roster warnings into assignment and give your office ways to maintain the week without repeated entry.

  • See assignment warnings

We flag a recorded day off or a pickup outside the driver’s shift. When the ride length is known, we also check for a shift overrun.

  • Apply changes to several days

Apply the same shift or day off to multiple dates for a driver. Use this when an exception lasts several days and deserves one consistent entry.

  • Reuse a previous week

Copy the previous week’s individual entries into the current week. Standard weeks already repeat; empty source days leave the target day’s existing entries in place.

  • Date the next regular pattern

Schedule a new standard week from a chosen date. Earlier dates keep the preceding pattern, and individual day entries continue to take priority over the weekly rule.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when a day has no entry?

We first look for an individual entry, then the driver’s standard week in force on that date. If neither says anything, availability is unknown and is treated as available for roster checks. A blank day is not a recorded day off. Enter days off explicitly when your office needs that warning.

Can I plan split shifts and overnight work?

Yes. A day can contain up to four working time ranges, so you can record a morning shift and a separate evening shift. A range can continue past midnight. The roster carries those remaining hours into the following day, and assignment checks use that coverage when reviewing an early pickup.

Does a roster warning prevent assignment?

Roster conflicts are warnings for the office to review. We identify a day off, a pickup outside working hours and, when the ride’s length is known, a trip extending beyond the shift. If the length is unknown, the roster check covers the pickup time. Your dispatcher decides how to resolve the warning.

How do the standard week and exceptions interact?

An individual entry for a date takes priority over the standard week. If there is no individual entry, the pattern effective on that date applies. You can introduce a new pattern from a future date without changing earlier weeks. This lets you keep the usual arrangement and date-specific changes together.

Is the staffing strip a count of free drivers?

It shows recorded roster coverage by hour, not how many drivers are free of bookings. Drivers without recorded availability remain unknown, and gaps are highlighted only when the roster has information for everyone. Use it to inspect planned staffing, then review bookings and assignment warnings before choosing a driver.
