Dispatcher shift handover

We use this handover to make ownership explicit: who is watching each live ride, what still needs a decision and when to act.

Work through the checklist

We bring the relevant records together so your team can check the facts before moving on.

  1. Agree the handover window Who: Both dispatchers. Pass when: Start, end, time zone and incoming duty contact are recorded.

  2. Review rides in progress Who: Outgoing dispatcher. Pass when: Every active ride has a checked status, next action and named owner. The TransferCRM order page shows the ride status and assigned driver.

  3. Find uncovered pickups Who: Incoming dispatcher. Pass when: Each upcoming pickup has a driver and vehicle, or an owner and deadline to arrange them.

  4. Check duty coverage Who: Incoming dispatcher. Pass when: Driver availability and vehicle readiness are confirmed for the handover window. The Schedule screen in TransferCRM shows the drivers’ roster.

  5. Separate partner offers from acceptances Who: Outgoing dispatcher. Pass when: Every pending offer has a response deadline and a fallback owner; accepted rides have driver details or a deadline for them.

  6. Read back changed pickups Who: Both dispatchers. Pass when: Flight changes, meeting points and special requests match the latest instructions given to the driver.

  7. Assign unresolved issues Who: Outgoing dispatcher. Pass when: Each incident, unpaid balance or unanswered message has one owner and a next-check time.

  8. Confirm the takeover Who: Incoming dispatcher. Pass when: The incoming dispatcher repeats the urgent actions and records the time they take responsibility.

Checklists

How TransferCRM helps

We bring the relevant records together so your team can check the facts before moving on.

  • One ride record

We show assignment, ride details and payment information on the order page, so the handover can refer to the same booking.

  • Named follow-up

On the Tasks screen, we let the office assign a task to a person and set a deadline for checking it.

Practical questions

Does TransferCRM have a shift sign-off button?

This is a team procedure. Record the takeover in your handover log; we support the checks with Orders, Schedule and Tasks.

Is a ride covered when a partner is named?

Check whether the partner actually accepted. Then check driver details separately; an unanswered offer still needs someone to follow it up.

What stays open at the end of the shift?

Anything without a verified result. Hand it over with a named owner and a next-check time instead of marking it complete.
